In January this year, 700 people from 20 countries travelled to Wellington on the south of the North Island of New Zealand for the Pinot Noir Celebration, a three day event described as “the best Pinot Noir event on the planet”.
The celebration showcased the very best of New Zealand Pinot Noir and attracted some of the best international minds on the subject. Speakers included the world’s most influential wine writer Jancis Robinson, proprietor of Two Paddocks and actor Sam Neill and musician come winemaker Maynard Keenan.
I was invited to talk about new threads to communication in wine writing. This is an excerpt of my speech.
